Weedy Front Transformation
This Maidstone front garden must have looked great with fresh bark chips but unfortunately weeds love to grow in bark.
It's a situation we've seen in countless gardens but the solution is not too complicated.
First step remove the weeds. Luckily they pulled quite easily out of the existing membrane and remaining bark.
Then tidy up and neaten the shrubs and, after a bit of levelling and weedkiller, new woven membrane over the lot.
Finally four tonne bags of gravel over the membrane. It's half the price of good bark and will suppress the weeds much better.
You may need a small spray bottle of weedkiller to deal with occasional edge weeds that poke through but that's it - simple .
